About
The Found Generation was established to improve the future of Liberia by providing young adults with Bible-based leadership and business training, long-term mentoring, education, life-skills training, and micro-lending through which they can secure a better future for not only themselves, but also their country as a whole. The Found Generation is committed to partnering with Liberian nationals to equip the youth of Liberia with the Biblical truth and leadership skills necessary to lead their country into a stable and secure future.
The Found Generation is not an emergency aid program, but one that seeks to empower Liberians to help themselves and each other. Our vision is one that requires a long-term commitment and will affect every demographic of Liberian society.
Our plan has three phases. The focus of the first phase is the training of the initial students and the establishment of a micro-lending program for post-graduates. The second phase focuses on developing and empowering leaders through the establishment of The Found Generation Leadership School. The third phase focuses on expanding programs to further impact communities throughout Liberia.
Currently, we have begun preparations to:
- Use current Liberian staff to manage and assist in the establishment of a small office/training center.
- Develop relationships with ten successful Christian Liberian businessmen who are willing to mentor young adults. These businessmen will assist with the planning, research, and student selection process. They will also take the role as mentors once the first business and leadership training has begun. Mentorship will be vital to the program and once these businessmen partner with a student, their commitment will be long-term.
- Establish and offer a micro-lending program. The program’s ultimate goal is for each student-established business to provide ten jobs to other Liberians. Successful implementation of the micro-lending program would be the development of 10 new Liberian businesses and with those new businesses, 100 new jobs.
